PM Internship Yojana 2026: Form Submission Started! Do This Work to Earn Extra ₹6,000

The central government has started a pilot project PM Internship Yojana to provide employment to youth. Applications can be made online from October 12. This internship will last for one year. Selected youth will be given financial assistance of Rs 5,000 per month. In addition, Rs 6,000 will be given at the beginning of the internship. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has already given information about this project in her budget speech.

Under the PM Internship Scheme, youth will get the opportunity to do internships in India’s top 500 companies. The objective of this project is to develop the skills of 1 crore youth of the country in the next 5 years. Candidates selected for PM Internship will be given financial assistance of Rs 5,000 per month and Rs 6,000 at a time.

Application for PM Internship from October 12

Government sources said that there is a plan to provide internship opportunities to 1.25 lakh youth in the current financial year. It is estimated that this project will cost Rs 800 crore. Many companies in the country have shown interest in this scheme. Recently, travel booking platform EasyMyTrip has announced to hire over 500 interns in the next 3 to 6 months. Youth will be able to apply for this scheme from midnight of October 12. Companies will provide information about internships according to their needs by October 10.

Application for PM Internship will be done through this website

Candidates interested in PM Internship can register on the website www.pminternship.mca.gov.in from midnight of October 12. The list of shortlisted candidates will be given to the companies by October 26. The government has chosen the auspicious day of Vijayadashami for registration on this portal. So far, 111 companies have joined this scheme, apart from which states like Maharashtra, Uttarakhand, Telangana and Gujarat have also been included.

Internship will start from December 2

After receiving the list of shortlisted candidates from the government, the companies will make the final selection from October 27. After this, the internship will start from December 2, 2024. Insurance coverage will also be provided to the youth selected under the Pradhan Mantri Internship Scheme. The government will pay the premium for Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana and Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana on its behalf. Companies can also provide additional accident insurance cover.

Eligibility for PM Internship

The age limit of the candidate to avail the benefits of the PM Internship Scheme has been fixed between 21 and 24 years. Apart from this, the annual income of the family should not be more than 8 lakhs. Those who are currently pursuing a formal degree course or job will not be given the benefits of this scheme. Such candidates can be part of online courses or vocational training.
