In this round, over 100,000 candidates across 730 districts will have the chance to intern with reputable companies. The PM Internship Scheme was announced by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman in the Union Budget last July, aiming to provide practical experience in a conducive environment for countless youth and students in the country. Selected candidates will be offered internships at 500 of the nation’s top companies, enhancing their experience and advancing their careers.
Trainees will receive a monthly stipend of Rs 5,000
The internship will last for 12 months, during which trainees will receive a monthly stipend of Rs 5,000. The initial payment of Rs 500 will be made by the company based on attendance and conduct, while the government will transfer Rs 4,500 to the trainee’s bank account. Additionally, a one-time reward of Rs 6,000 will be provided at the end of the year.
