The government has fixed 31 August as the last date for verification of the Pradhan Mantri Gramin Awas Yojana survey. The Rural Development Agency Department (DRDA) has done a housing survey of 95,986 people so far. Out of this, the portal has found the data of 46,581 surveys correct and saved it. The data of 49,405 people was sent for checking, out of which the verification of 41,504 has been completed. A total of 362 employees have been deployed for this verification work.

Under this scheme, the beneficiaries get ₹1,20,000 to build houses. This money is given in three installments. With the last date fixed, the hope of getting houses soon has increased among the needy. The government has instructed Chief Development Officer Arpit Upadhyay to finish the verification work quickly. The last date for verification is 31 August. After this date, no survey verification will be accepted.
