PM Awas Yojana – Good news for common people. There is a big update regarding PM Awas Yojana. The government has extended the application deadline in Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY). The last date for application has been announced for both rural and urban schemes. If you have not yet taken advantage of this scheme, then this is a golden opportunity for you.

For how long has the deadline for PM Awas Yojana been extended?

Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana is being run by the central government to provide pucca houses at affordable cost to the poor and economically weaker sections of the country. Subsidy and financial assistance is given by the government to eligible beneficiaries to build a house. Now the government has extended the last date to apply in this scheme till December 2025.

Benefits in PM Housing Scheme

This scheme was started in the year 2025. The government had set a target of building 2 crore cheap houses by the year 2022. This scheme is divided into two parts. PM Rural Housing Scheme and PM Urban Housing Scheme. Eligible beneficiaries are given financial assistance ranging from Rs 1.20 lakh to Rs 2.5 lakh under this scheme.

 

Eligibility

– The applicant must be an Indian.

– The applicant should not have a permanent house anywhere in India.

 

– Beneficiaries in rural areas will be selected on the basis of Socio-Economic Caste Census (SECC-2011).

– For urban areas, homeless or slum dwellers will be given priority.

– In rural areas, the monthly income of the family should be less than Rs 10,000.

– Annual income limit for urban area beneficiaries should be up to Rs 3 lakh for economically weaker section, up to Rs 6 lakh for low income group and up to Rs 9 lakh for middle income group.

 

How to register in PM Awas Yojana

1. First of all go to the official website of PM Awas Yojana.

 

2. On the home page, click on the option of Citizen Assessment or Awas Plus.

 

3. Now the form will open in front of you, in which you will have to enter Aadhaar number, mobile number and other personal information.

 

4. After entering all the information, upload the necessary documents.

 

5. Check the application form once and then submit it. After this you will get the registration number.

 

Offline application process

To apply offline in PM Awas Yojana, you will have to go to your nearest Common Service Center or listed banks. There you will have to fill the application form as well as submit the necessary documents.
