- Step 4: Next, you will find the option for “Name Update.” Click on it.
- Step 5: Submit the requested details and documents, such as your marriage certificate.
- Step 6: You will need to pay a non-refundable fee of ₹50. (Non-refundable means you won’t get this money back.)
- Step 7: Finally, review the details and documents you entered, then click on the “Submit” button.
- Make sure to note down the SRN (Service Request Number). This number will help you track the status of your update later.
How to Check the Status of Your Name Change
To check the status of your name change or update, follow these steps:
- Step 1: On the UIDAI website, go to the “My Aadhaar” section in the blue bar.
- Step 2: Here, you will see the option “Check Aadhaar Update Status.” Click on it.
- Step 3: Select SRN from the options like Enrolment, SRN, URN, and SID.
- Step 4: Enter your SRN number and captcha code, then click “Submit.”
- Step 5: The status of your Aadhaar update will be displayed on the screen.
