Pension Hike–  Bihar’s Nitish government has increased the pension amount of journalists. Earlier this amount was 6 thousand rupees per month, which has now been increased. CM Nitish Kumar has given this information by posting on X.

He has written that I am happy to inform that under the Bihar Journalist Samman Pension Scheme, now the department has been directed to provide pension amount of Rs 15 thousand instead of Rs 6 thousand every month to all eligible journalists.

The dependent will get a pension of 10 thousand rupees per month

Also, in case of death of journalists receiving pension under Bihar Journalist Samman Pension Scheme, instructions have been given to provide pension amount of Rs. 10,000 instead of Rs. 3,000 per month to their dependent husband/wife for lifetime.

Nitish Kumar wrote, ‘I am happy to inform that under the Bihar Patrakar Samman Pension Scheme, the department has been directed to provide pension amount of Rs. 15 thousand instead of Rs. 6 thousand to all eligible journalists every month. Also, the number of journalists receiving pension under the Bihar Patrakar Samman Pension Scheme.’ Journalists have an important role in democracy. They are the fourth pillar of democracy and have an important role in social development.
