To renew your PAN card, you must first visit the government-authorized portal, NSDL or UTIITSL. These two platforms provide all services, including new applications, duplicate cards, updates, and renewals. After logging in to the correct portal, you must select the appropriate form. Indian citizens must fill out Form 49A, and foreign citizens must fill out Form 49AA. When filling out the forms, carefully enter your name, date of birth, address, and other details, as even a small mistake can delay your application.

To renew a PAN card, it’s necessary to submit proof of identity and address. One of the following documents can be used as proof of identity: an Aadhaar card, voter ID, or passport. An electricity bill, bank statement, or other valid document can be used as proof of address. When scanning documents, ensure the images are clear and legible, as blurry or incomplete documents can delay the application process.
