Are you going to sell paddy at government support price? Then keep the necessary documents ready in advance. Otherwise, you may face problems at the paddy procurement center. If the officials find any discrepancies in the documents, they can return your paddy from the procurement center. Do you know that you have to register to sell paddy at government support price? What documents are important to keep with you?

First, you have to enter the epaddy.wb.gov.in website and select a paddy procurement center in your district from the ‘Farmer Self-Scheduling’ option. Then you have to choose the day and time slot for the paddy to arrive. Usually, paddy is purchased from 60 farmers at a procurement center every day. Therefore, if you do not book a slot in advance, you may face problems.

Once the day and slot are selected, a receipt is sent to the farmer’s mobile. You have to print the receipt or keep it on your mobile and go to the procurement center on the specified day with the paddy. You must have an Aadhaar-linked mobile number with it. Officials say that it is not enough to just register, all the documents must be verified properly.

Required Documents on Paddy Submission Day

On the day of submitting paddy, the farmer must carry these five original documents:

  • Farmer Registration Certificate (FRC)
  • Voter Card
  • Aadhaar Card
  • Land Paper (not needed for unregistered sharecroppers)
  • Bank Passbook

The money for the sold paddy is sent directly to the farmer’s bank account. So if there is any mistake in the documents, problems may arise.

Awareness Camp for Farmers

To help farmers avoid such problems, an awareness camp was organized by the Bhagwanpur 1 Panchayat Samiti in Purba Medinipur district. Here, farmers were informed about the required documents and the online registration process. Officials explained each step — from registration to document submission — and guided farmers on what to carry to the centers while selling paddy.

Message From Panchayat Samiti President

Bhagwanpur 1 Panchayat Samiti President Arup Sundar Panda said, “This camp has been organized so that farmers do not face any problem. Many farmers register with wrong information because they do not know the process. We want every farmer to benefit from selling paddy at the government support price. With the right documents, farmers can sell their paddy smoothly on the scheduled day.”
