Under the Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana, now people above 70 years of age can get enrollment and e-KYC done through the Ayushman app. Not only this, you can also get your Ayushman Vaya Vandana card through the Ayushman app. Let us tell you that under the Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana, all people above 70 years of age are eligible for free health insurance of Rs 5 lakh. In this scheme, people above 70 years of age, irrespective of their income group, can avail its benefits.

Aadhaar card and mobile number will be required for Vaya Vandana card

The Union Health Ministry had posted a post on its social media account on Tuesday. Through this post, the Health Ministry had informed that people above 70 years of age can now get Ayushman Vaya Vandana Card through the Ayushman App and avail free treatment worth Rs 5 lakh. The Health Ministry has also released a video, which shows the entire process of getting Ayushman Vaya Vandana Card. For this, you must have an Aadhaar card, a mobile number linked to the Aadhaar card.

‘Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya’ is a kind of cashless health insurance scheme, under which free treatment can be availed in selected hospitals. Under the Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana, all medical expenses such as tests, medicines etc. are also covered 3 days before hospitalization and 15 days after discharge.
