Aadhaar Update– Aadhaar card is one of the important documents for the citizens of the country. Without it, many works can get stuck. It is difficult to get benefits in government schemes without Aadhaar card. Therefore, it is very important to keep it updated. But now you will not need to go to the Aadhaar center to update your Aadhaar card.
The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) is preparing to launch a new mobile app. With this, you will be able to update your Aadhaar card sitting at home. In this, UIDAI has planned to update the address, phone number, name and date of birth online.
According to the reports, through this new system, you will no longer need to give a photocopy of Aadhaar. UIDAI has developed an app that will allow sharing full Aadhaar or masked Aadhaar through QR code. With this, you will be able to share the electronic Aadhaar card with anyone. With this, people will no longer need to get a photocopy of Aadhaar card.
Aadhar card update at home will start from November
By November 2025, tasks like address update, detail verification and biometric update in Aadhaar will be possible from home. Through new technology, this system will obtain address and other information from databases like birth certificate, matriculation certificate, driving license, passport, PAN, PDS and MNREGA.
This will not only make document verification easier, but will also help prevent the use of fake documents. According to officials associated with UIDAI, preparations are underway to link the electricity bill database to this system as well. This will make the system even easier.
UIDAI CEO Bhuvnesh Kumar while talking to Times of India said that a new app is being developed. Out of 1 lakh machines, about 2,000 machines have now been switched on to the new tool. Now soon, apart from giving fingerprint and iris from home, all other tasks will be done through the app.
Now all work will be done with just one app
The move to allow QR code based mobile-to-mobile or app-to-app Aadhaar transfer is being considered important to prevent misuse. It will be used for many purposes. For example, this app can be used for everything from check-in in hotels to authentication in a moving train. He said that this app gives maximum user control over its data and it can be shared only with consent. It can also be used by sub-registrar and registrar at the time of property registration.
