The route was extended to Jamalpur, and travel became even easier

Earlier, the Vande Bharat Express train, which used to run from Bhagalpur to Howrah, has now been extended to Jamalpur. This decision has been taken by DRM Manish Kumar Gupta of Malda Division of Eastern Railway. This extension will directly benefit the passengers of Jamalpur and surrounding areas such as Munger, Lakhisarai, and Sheikhpura, who will no longer have to depend on other trains to go to Howrah. Booking for travel on this train has also started.

Know the time and route of the train

Railways has released the full schedule of the Jamalpur-Howrah Vande Bharat Express. This train will run 6 days a week except on Friday.

Jamalpur to Howrah

This train will leave Jamalpur at 3:30 pm and reach Bhagalpur at 4:22 pm. After this, it will reach Howrah at 10:05 pm via Barahat, Mandar Hill, Hansdiha, Nonihat, Dumka, Rampurhat, and Bolpur. This entire journey will take only 6.5 hours, whereas earlier, other trains used to take 9 to 10 hours.

Howrah to Jamalpur

On the return journey, this train will depart from Howrah at 7:45 am, reach Bhagalpur at 1:15 pm, and Jamalpur at 2 pm.

Vande Bharat Train Fare

The fare for travelling in the Vande Bharat Express is as follows:

Chair Car:- The minimum fare from Jamalpur to Howrah is ₹1,290.

Executive Class:- If you want to travel in Executive Class, you will have to pay ₹2,335.

This train will pass through stations like Barhat, Mandar Hill, Hansdiha, Nonihat, Dumka, Rampurhat, and Bolpur S Niketan between Jamalpur and Howrah. With this new route, passengers from all these places will also get the benefit of modern and fast train service.
