Monsoon Alert – The weather has completely changed; while air pollution has choked Delhi, the cold weather is also causing havoc. Living in the fog and dense mist has become difficult. The cold wave continues in western Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, and other plains areas. The hilly states are experiencing chaos due to heavy snowfall.

A cold wave alert has been issued for several states on December 24th and 25th. In some parts of South India, rain is still disrupting daily life. Heavy Rainfall Expected in These Areas
According to the Meteorological Department, some states in South India may experience cloudy skies and heavy rainfall. The IMD has predicted heavy rainfall with thunder and lightning in various parts of Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, and Kerala.
A heavy rainfall alert has been issued for Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. People have been advised to take precautions due to the possibility of lightning strikes. Besides these, some places in the northeastern states may experience snowfall. Partially cloudy skies and spells of rain are also expected.
Delhi Weather
According to the Meteorological Department, the minimum temperature in Delhi-NCR is expected to drop further from December 25th. The minimum temperature is expected to be between 7 and 9 degrees Celsius, and the maximum temperature around 23 degrees Celsius on December 24th and 25th.
The wind is expected to blow from the west-southwest direction at a speed of five kilometres per hour. Based on the CPCB report, the AQI in the city is likely to cross 400, reaching the ‘severe’ or ‘extremely severe’ category. This could lead to dangerous levels of pollution.
Rajasthan Weather
According to the Meteorological Department, a sudden change in weather is expected in Rajasthan. Dense fog has been observed in most districts of the state since morning. The minimum temperature in most areas is expected to be around 8 degrees Celsius. Meanwhile, on Wednesday and Thursday, the minimum temperature was recorded at 8.1 degrees in Chittorgarh, 8.4 degrees in Fatehpur, 8 degrees in Jhunjhunu, and 8.6 degrees in Alwar.
