Mahindra is steadily strengthening its foothold in the electric vehicle market. Last year, the company launched two impressive electric SUVs, the Mahindra BE6 and XEV9E. Deliveries began this year and have received an overwhelming response from customers. Now, Mahindra is working on its upcoming EV models, and one of these is the Mahindra BE6 Rall-E, which has once again been spotted testing.
Design
The BE6 Rall-E is actually a more rugged version of the BE6 SUV, which is being specially designed for off-roading. When Mahindra showcased the concept of BE6 Rall-E for the first time, the company had no plans to bring it into production. But Mahindra changed his mind after the great response from BE6 and XEV9E and now this model is being produced-ready.
The concept model was featured in the neon green/yellow shed, with new LED DRL setup and larger round headlamps on the bumpers. At the same time, the car seen during testing also saw thick off-road tyres, small stel rims, and a very muscular touch on the body, which completely justifies its off-road character.
Performance
Currently, both the Mahindra BE6 and XEV9E available in the market come with a RWD setup. Although these cars support a dual-motor AWD setup, the company has not yet launched this option.
However, since the BE6 Rall-E is an off-road spec version, it is expected to be equipped with a dual-motor AWD setup. Mahindra may also include advanced features like Hill Descent Control, Mechanical Locking Differential (MLD), and Brake Locking Differential (BLD) to ensure its excellent performance on all types of roads.
Battery
The BE6 Rall-E is being produced on Mahindra’s special INGLO Platform, which is specifically designed for electric vehicles. This platform is being used in both BE6 and XEV9E and now the BE6 Rall-E will also be built on it.
Talking about battery packs, it can get two options like BE6 — 59 kWh and 79 kWh. The small battery gives a range of about 535 km, while the larger battery pack can cover up to 682 km. Not only this, the battery management system can be further upgraded from Mahindra to give the new BE6 Rall-E and better performance.

Launch
The BE6 Rall-E spotted testing appears to be almost production-ready. This means Mahindra is now closer to launching this SUV. The company could launch it in the Indian market next year. This model will further strengthen Mahindra’s EV lineup and target buyers who want to enjoy both adventure and electric mobility.
