Namo Shetkari Yojana: The central and state governments are running several schemes to provide financial assistance to farmers. One such scheme is the Namo Shetkari Mahasangh Man Nidhi Yojana of the Maharashtra government. Under this scheme, farmers have already received benefits in 7 installments, and now all beneficiary farmers are waiting for the 8th installment. This scheme is run on the lines of the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi, in which farmers receive an annual assistance of ₹6,000 in three equal installments.

What is the Namo Shetkari Mahasangh Man Nidhi Yojana?

This scheme is for farmers who are already beneficiaries of the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana. Through this scheme, the Maharashtra government provides additional financial assistance to farmers, enabling them to meet their needs for fertilizers, seeds, pesticides, and other farming-related expenses. Information related to the scheme is available on the MahaDBT portal, where farmers can also check their status.

How to avail the benefits of the scheme?

Farmers do not need to apply separately for the Namo Shetkari Yojana. Farmers who are registered and active in the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana automatically receive the benefits of this scheme. If a farmer is not yet registered with the PM Kisan Yojana, they can register on its official website.

Eligibility for Namo Shetkari Yojana

This scheme is only for farmers of Maharashtra state. The farmer must be registered under the PM Kisan Yojana. The beneficiary’s bank account must be linked to Aadhaar, and they must own cultivable land. Farmers who file income tax returns are not eligible for this scheme. Additionally, doctors, lawyers, government employees, and people receiving any kind of government pension are also not eligible for the scheme.

Required Documents

To avail the benefits of the scheme, farmers need documents related to their agricultural land, proof of residence in Maharashtra, an Aadhaar card, an Aadhaar-linked mobile number, bank account details, and a passport-size photograph.

When can the eighth installment be expected?

The seventh installment of the Namo Shetkari Yojana was sent to farmers’ accounts in September 2025. Under this scheme, an amount of ₹2,000 is provided three times a year. This means farmers receive ₹6,000 from the PM Kisan scheme and an additional ₹6,000 from the Namo Shetkari Yojana. According to current estimates, the eighth installment of the scheme is expected to be released in a few days.
