While talking to Local 18, farmer Sumit Singh told that he has onion crop planted in one acre. There is demand for onion throughout the year. More profit can be earned from this crop at low cost.

If we talk about this time, onion is being sold in the markets at the rate of ₹ 30 per kg. The price of onion is not fixed, it has been sold at the rate of ₹ 60 to ₹ 100 per kg. Due to which small and big farmers are showing interest in adopting onion cultivation by taking advantage of this scheme.
