The main objective of the Bima Sakhi Yojana is to train women of rural areas by LIC and prepare them as insurance agents. The goal of this scheme is to make women financially capable and self-reliant so that they can not only increase their income but also help spread insurance awareness in their community. It allows them to become an active participant in the rural economy.

Training and financial assistance

Let us tell you that through this scheme, women are trained for 3 years. Financial assistance is also provided to them during this training period:

First Year: They are given ₹ 7000 every month.

Second Year: They are given ₹6000 every month.

Third Year: They are given a stipend of ₹5000 every month.

That is, in total, women receive financial assistance of more than ₹2 Lakh in 3 years. This stipend helps them to meet their basic needs during the training period. Apart from this stipend, women can also earn a commission of up to ₹48,000 in the first year by selling policies. This provides them with an additional opportunity to increase their income and demonstrate their potential.

New career path after training

After completing the training, women are also given a Bima Sakhi Certificate and an LIC Agent Code. After this, they officially start working as an insurance agent. This opens the way for them to have a stable and respectable career, where they can earn unlimited income with their hard work and dedication. This scheme not only makes women self-reliant but also increases the insurance penetration in rural areas.
