This time the Madhya Pradesh government has made this festival even more special. Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has announced that 1.27 crore women beneficiaries of the Ladli Behna Yojana will be given a gift of Rs 250 before Rakhi. This amount will be transferred directly to their accounts. This is not just a financial assistance, but a symbol of respect for relationships and self-respect of sisters.

“The festival of Raksha Bandhan symbolises the unbreakable love between a brother and a sister… Rakhi is on August 9 and it is only appropriate for brothers to gift their sisters. Our government will ensure that Rs 250 reaches every Ladli Behna (before August 9) as a token of affection,” Yadav announced.

Monthly assistance will increase from October!

At present, Ladli sisters get Rs 1250 every month , but now the government has indicated to increase it. Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has said that this amount will be increased to Rs 1500 from October . Sisters will get this new gift between Diwali and Bhai Dooj. This announcement was made during a state-level program in Nalwa village of Ujjain, where the Chief Minister himself transferred the money from the stage and reiterated his commitment to empower women. Let us tell you, on July 12, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav transferred the 26th installment of the scheme to the accounts of 1.27 crore Ladli sisters.

Not only financial help, the government has also taken a big step towards making Ladli sisters self-reliant. Now women who want to work in a readymade garment unit or factory and get registered will also get an additional assistance of ₹ 5000. This amount will be separate from the installment of Ladli Behna Yojana and will be given especially to those women who come forward to work.

Ladli Behna Yojana is no longer just a scheme, it is becoming a social movement.
