Like the Mukhyamantri Kisan Kalyan Yojana, the Ladli Behna Yojana has become a major financial relief for millions of women. The government has released the 31st installment this month, but if the ₹1,500 hasn’t reached your account, don’t panic. Often, funds get stuck due to minor and incomplete processes, which you can easily fix. Here, we’ll explain the main reasons for installment delays, the simplest way to check the status, and the need for DBT.
These reasons can delay your installment
If the ₹1,500 hasn’t yet been deposited into your account, there could be several common and technical reasons. The most common ones include:
- Incomplete Samagra-Aadhaar e-KYC or bank e-KYC.
- A mismatch between the Aadhaar card and Samagra ID information.
- Your bank account isn’t linked to Aadhaar.
- Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) isn’t activated.
- There may be any other eligibility-related errors in the application.
- First, you must check your Samagra-Aadhaar e-KYC and bank e-KYC status.
How to check your installment status from home
It’s now very easy to check whether your installment has arrived. You don’t even need to leave your home.
- First, visit the scheme’s official website, cmladlibahna.mp.gov.in.
- Click on the section titled ‘Apply / Payment Status’.
- Enter your application number or Samagra ID.
- Next, verify the OTP received on your registered mobile number.
- Full details related to your installment will appear on the screen within a few seconds.
- Why is e-KYC necessary, and where should it be done
The government has made e-KYC mandatory under this scheme so that only eligible women can avail themselves of the benefits. This prevents duplication of Aadhar IDs, verifies local residence, and makes the payment process faster and more secure.
If your e-KYC hasn’t been completed yet, you can visit your nearest ration shop, MP Online Center, or CSC kiosk to get it done for free. The government pays the kiosk separately for this, so you won’t be charged any fees.
Why is DBT and an Aadhaar-linked bank account necessary
Ladli Behna Yojana funds are disbursed directly through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT). Funds are transferred directly to Aadhaar-linked and DBT-enabled bank accounts, reducing the chance of payment failure. If your bank account isn’t DBT-enabled, you can complete the process by visiting your bank. You’ll need to fill out a DBT activation form. Upon e-KYC verification, your account will become DBT-enabled.
The government, led by Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, released the 31st installment of the Ladli Behna Yojana earlier this week. During the event held in Rajnagar, Chhatarpur district, the Chief Minister transferred ₹1,500 to the accounts of over 1.26 crore eligible women with a single click. A total of over ₹1,857 crore was transferred directly to the beneficiaries’ accounts.
