The month of July has brought special news for more than 1.27 crore Ladli sisters of Madhya Pradesh. The 26th installment of the Chief Minister Ladli Behna Yojana is going to come to your accounts soon. But the biggest feature this time is that sisters are going to get a very special gift on the auspicious occasion of Rakshabandhan. This will not only increase your monthly assistance, but will also bring a smile to your face.

Big announcement of Chief Minister Mohan Yadav

According to the announcement of the Mohan government, along with the regular amount of ₹ 1250 to be received by the Ladli sisters in July, an additional shagun of ₹ 250 will also be given. In this way, a total amount of ₹ 1500 will reach the bank accounts of the Ladli sisters. This amount can come in two phases.

Since the date of Rakshabandhan 2025 is 9 August 2025, this special amount of the 26th installment of the scheme can be released anytime between 10 and 15 July 2025. This time frame will give the sisters enough time to prepare for the festival.

₹ 1500 every month from Diwali 2025

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has recently made another very important announcement in Indore. He informed that from Diwali 2025, all the beneficiary sisters will be given ₹ 1500 regularly every month under the Ladli Behna Yojana. Right now, ₹ 1250 per month is being given in this scheme. Apart from this, the government has also planned to increase this amount in a phased manner to ₹ 3000 per month, which will be a revolutionary step towards women’s empowerment.

Journey from the beginning to now

The Ladli Behna Yojana was launched by former Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh and currently Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan in May 2023. Its main goal is to economically empower the women of the state and improve their standard of living. Under the scheme, initially, there was a provision to give ₹1000 per month to married women (including widows, divorced, and deserted women) in the age group of 21 to 60 years.

The first installment was released on 10 June 2023 as ₹1000. This amount was increased to ₹1250 on Rakshabandhan 2023. From June 2023 to May 2025, an amount of more than ₹28,000 crore has been given to Ladli sisters through 24 installments. Apart from this, special assistance of ₹250 was also provided on the occasion of Rakshabandhan in August 2023 and 2024.
