Ladki Bahin Yojana: There’s some good news for women in Maharashtra. The October installment under the Chief Minister’s Ladki Bahin Yojana is now being deposited into beneficiaries’ bank accounts. Technical difficulties and issues related to e-KYC were delaying the October installment, but the government has now initiated the payment process.

Women and Child Welfare Minister Aditi Tatkare announced this and stated that all eligible women will receive an assistance amount of ₹1,500 in their Aadhaar-linked bank accounts. The scheme is effective from July 2024 and aims to economically empower women in the state.

Aditi Tatkare’s Statement

In a post on the X platform on Monday, Aditi Tatkare stated that this government scheme is a continuous revolution towards women’s empowerment. She explained that the technical difficulties have been resolved and there will be no further disruptions in installment distribution. According to the minister, some beneficiaries complained of not receiving OTP during e-KYC, which has now been resolved.

E-KYC deadline extended

The government has clarified that completing the e-KYC process is mandatory to continue receiving the benefits of the scheme. The previous deadline was November 18th, which has now been extended to November 19th. Tatkare appealed to all women to complete their e-KYC as soon as possible by visiting the official website, ladakibahin.maharashtra.gov.in, to avoid disruptions in future installments.
