Ladki Bahin Yojana: The Maharashtra government is running a scheme to help women and girls. The Ladki Bahin Yojana, which has been in operation since 2024 , provides women with a sum of Rs 1,500. Eleven installments of this scheme have been released. If you want to benefit from this scheme, there are certain terms and conditions that must be followed.
Ladki Behen Yojana Age Limit
There is an age limit for the Maharashtra Ladki Behen Yojana. Women between the ages of 21 and 65 can benefit from this scheme. However, if you are under 21, you will not be eligible for this scheme. The Maharashtra government promised to provide women with Rs 1,500 under this scheme. So far, each woman has received Rs 16,500 under the Ladki Behen Yojana. To benefit from this scheme, the total annual income of the woman and her husband or father must not exceed Rs 2.5 lakh.
The government changed some rules
Be it the central or state government, they bring schemes to help the poor and economically weak people. Many times the benefits of the scheme do not reach the right people. Many women are taking benefit of Maharashtra’s Ladki Behen Yojana on fake documents. To stop them, the government has recently changed some rules.
Earlier only women had to get their KYC done, but now if the woman is married, then she will have to get her husband’s KYC done and if she is not married, then her father’s E-KYC will also be done. With E-KYC, the family’s income will be known. If their income does not fulfill the conditions of the scheme, then their name will be removed from the scheme.
