The government has set December 31, 2025, as the deadline, meaning less than four days are left.
The Minister has appealed to all women involved in the scheme to complete their identity verification (e-KYC) as soon as possible to avoid future problems such as installment delays or benefits being withheld. The government’s clear message is that failing to complete e-KYC in a timely manner could lead to difficulties in receiving the scheme’s monthly payment.

What is Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana plan?
The Maharashtra government launched the Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana to economically empower women. Approved on June 28, 2024, under the chairmanship of then Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, this scheme provides monthly financial assistance of Rs 1,500 directly into the bank accounts of eligible women aged 21 to 65. This scheme is proving to be a major step towards empowering women and improving their health and nutrition. So far, 16 installments have been released.

Objective of the scheme
The Chief Minister’s Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana aims to improve the health and nutrition of women in the state, strengthen their pivotal role in family and society, and provide regular financial assistance to eligible women. The government believes this scheme will help women become self-reliant.
The government release clarifies that eligible women who are orphans, whose father is not alive, whose husband is deceased, or who are divorced, must complete their own e-KYC. They must then submit a certified copy of their father’s or husband’s official death certificate, divorce certificate, or honorable court order to the concerned Anganwadi worker by December 31, 2025.

Last chance to correct mistakes
Women beneficiaries who have completed the e-KYC process but made a mistake while selecting an option have also been granted relief. Such women can revisit the web portal and complete the e-KYC process and correct their errors by December 31, 2025. This will be the last opportunity for correction, and beneficiaries will need to log in to the portal themselves.
