John Cena’s retirement tour is currently underway in WWE. Everyone is excited about it. Cena is set to fight the final match of his career on Saturday Night’s Main Event on December 13th next month. The question is who will be his final opponent.
New names are emerging every day regarding this. WWE has organized a tournament of 16 stars. Whoever wins it will face Cena. Well, now John Cena’s father has revealed the name of his son’s final opponent.
What did John Cena’s father say?
Many believe that Gunther will be John Cena’s final opponent. Cena and Gunther have not yet met. Cena’s father, John Cena Sr., recently gave an interview to Sportskeeda’s Wrestlebinge. Regarding Cena’s final opponent, he said, “John Cena should defeat Dominik Mysterio at Survivor Series 2025 to win the Intercontinental Championship. The Cena-Dominik Mysterio story shouldn’t end after that. Cena and Mysterio should face off in a final match in Washington, D.C., where Mysterio can regain the title. This will close that chapter. One thing I’ve noticed while writing about WWE’s tour is that there are many stories that have no end.”
Survivor Series 2025 is scheduled to take place on November 29th. Fans are very excited about it. John Cena will also be participating for the final time. No confirmed information has yet been released regarding Cena’s match. Cena is scheduled to appear on the upcoming episode of Raw. Official information about his match may be revealed there. It is possible that he may be part of the WarGames match.
