The governments of all the states of the country run different types of schemes for the people of their respective states. People from different sections of the society get the benefit of these schemes. Governments take many unique initiatives especially to promote women’s empowerment.

In this episode, the Jharkhand Government is also running many schemes for the women of its state. To benefit the poor and needy women of the state, last year the Hemant Soren Government started the ‘Maiya Samman Yojana’. This scheme is proving to be a big support for women.

Maiya Samman Yojana

Under the Maiya Samman Yojana of the Hemant Soren government, ₹ 2500 is given every month to lakhs of women in the state. Let us tell you that earlier ₹ 1000 was given in this scheme, but after the elections when the JMM government was formed again, this amount was increased to ₹ 2500. This increase provides significant financial assistance for women.

What about the stuck installments

But, under this scheme of the Jharkhand government, the installment money has not reached the bank accounts of many women. Now in such a situation, the question comes to the mind of women when will they get their money? So let us tell you why the money of women is stuck and what they have to do to get it.

Two main reasons for the money-stopping

There are many women in the scheme, whose bank accounts are not linked to their Aadhaar card. Due to this, they are not able to get the installment money through DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer). The government had earlier given three days for this, but despite this many women have not yet got this work done.

Apart from this, many women have not got their verification done in the scheme. Because of this also they have not been able to get the installment money. If someone’s verification has not been done yet, then you can complete this process by meeting the Anganwadi worker and taking the verification form.

The solution to the problem

Once the Aadhaar card is linked to the bank account and the verification process is completed, women will start getting the stuck money. However, the government has not yet told whether the stuck money will be received in a lump sum or one by one month. Currently, the government has sent the installment for the month of April to the account of the beneficiaries.

How to get Aadhaar linked and verified

Aadhaar link: You can link your bank account to Aadhaar by visiting your bank branch or through the online portal of some banks. This will require your Aadhaar number and bank account details.

Verification: Contact the Anganwadi worker in your area. She will provide you with a verification form and assist you in the process. This will ensure that you are eligible for the scheme and that your details are correct.
