Under this, UIDAI has decided to use the online database of passports, ration cards, birth and matriculation certificates for Aadhaar of adults in future. An official said that now it will be difficult for any illegal immigrant to get Aadhaar as strict changes are being made in the Aadhaar enrollment process.

From now on, online database of passport, ration card, birth and matriculation certificates will be used for Aadhaar update. Assembly elections are to be held in Bihar. Before this, the work of updating the voter list is going on there, on which a fierce argument is being seen between the opposition and the government. The opposition has dragged the government to the Supreme Court on this issue. During the hearing, the Election Commission clarified that Aadhaar card is not a proof of citizenship but of ID.
