During the popular festival season, there has been not just minor disruption but massive disruption as the IRCTC website has crashed and all joy of traveling has gone away. The Railways is the most opted means of transport in the country, but it is very difficult to book reservations for train tickets. The IRCTC website has been down since Friday morning, and as a result, passengers are left furious and disgruntled. Many people are angry, and this situation has led many people to complain about services via social media and have also expressed aggravation. During Diwali, and also during the medium of Chhath Puja, such disruption is extremely annoying to users.
Many people are complaining not just on social media but on various platforms. The message displayed when you attempted to login into the app was “Server unavailable.” The RailOne app still provides services, however, you can also book tickets on the app.

or call their number. Attach a screenshot of the failed transaction in your email and send it to IRCTC’s customer care.
Cause of the Problems Faced by IRCTC App and Website
It is not yet clear why the IRCTC app and website are down. It could be that lakhs of users tried logging in at the same time to book tatkal tickets for Diwali and Chhath Puja.
The problem has also been reported on the website monitoring platform, Down Detector. Over 5,000 users reported that the IRCTC app and website are down. Login has been resumed but some users are still facing problems.
When the website and app crashed, many users uploaded screenshots or created memes on social media. Users commented on the issue and showed their frustration with the website.
This is not the first time the IRCTC site has crashed. Users face the same problem at similar times, especially during festive occasions.
The IRCTC both went down just before 10 am today. Authorities said the service was disrupted for an hour but many users said the site and app were not functioning properly past 11 am. It is suspected that the crash was during ticket booking.
