Indian Railways: Great news for train travelers! The Railways has announced that they will operate two pairs of superfast special trains to make things easier for everyone. These trains will help passengers from multiple states, including Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, and Rajasthan. Plus, booking for these trains has started today.

Vineet Abhishek, the Chief Public Relations Officer (CPRO) of Western Railway, mentioned that to cater to the growing travel demand and ensure passenger convenience, two superfast special trains will be running at special fares between Mumbai Central – New Delhi and Bandra Terminus – Amritsar stations.

As per the CPRO’s announcement, Train No. 04001/04002 Mumbai Central – New Delhi Superfast Special will operate 8 trips. Train No. 04001 will leave Mumbai Central at 11:30 PM and reach New Delhi at 8:50 PM the following day. This service will be available on December 21, 24, 27, and 30.

On the flip side, Train No. 04002 New Delhi – Mumbai Central Superfast Special will depart from New Delhi at 10:40 PM and arrive in Mumbai Central at 9:00 PM the next day. This train will run on December 20, 23, 26, and 29.

The train will make stops at these stations:

It will halt at Borivali, Surat, Vadodara, Ratlam, Kota, Sawai Madhopur, Gangapur City, and Mathura stations in both directions. The train will feature First AC, AC-2 Tier, AC-3 Tier, AC-3 Tier (Economy), Sleeper Class, and General Second Class coaches.

Train No. 04695/04696 Bandra Terminus – Amritsar Superfast Special will operate four trips. Train No. 04695 will leave Bandra Terminus at 2:00 PM and arrive in Amritsar at 8:30 PM the next day. This service will run on December 24th and 28th. Likewise, Train No. 04696 Amritsar – Bandra Terminus Superfast Special will depart from Amritsar at 4:20 AM and reach Bandra Terminus at 11:00 AM the next day. This train will be available on December 23 and 27, 2025.
