Now, Indian Railways has started a new Amrit Bharat Express train service, which will connect Gaya and Delhi directly. Gaya-Delhi Amrit Bharat Express has started now

Passengers of Bihar have got the gift of another new train on the Gaya-Delhi route. East Central Railway has released the timetable and stoppage information of this Amrit Bharat Express train. The Prime Minister flagged off this train on Friday, and it will be available to the general public from 28 August 2025. The main objective of this train is to give a comfortable and economical journey to the passengers.

Train timing and route

With the running of this train, travel between Gaya and Delhi will become very convenient.

Train number 13697 (Gaya-Delhi)

This train will leave from Gaya at 4:30 pm and reach Delhi at 12 noon the next day. It will run every Sunday and Thursday from 28 August 2025.

Train number 13698 (Delhi-Gaya)

This train will leave from Delhi at 2:00 pm and reach Gaya at 8:55 am the next day. It will run every Monday and Friday from 29 August 2025.

This train will cover the distance of 983 km between the two cities in 19 hours and 30 minutes.

This train has a total of 19 coaches, out of which 11 are general coaches and 8 are sleeper coaches. You can travel in these coaches as per your convenience. Booking in a sleeper coach has started, and the fare from Gaya to Delhi is around ₹560, which is a very economical option for passengers. Railways have also introduced a new fast MEMU train between Vaishali and Koderma to promote tourism.
