Indian Railways Announces 8 Special Trains Amid Heavy Rush, Check routes

Indian Railways: Good news for train passengers. To get ready for Republic Day and the weekend rush, Central Railway is rolling out eight special trains from Mumbai to Kolhapur, Nanded, and Amravati to make things easier for travelers. These trains, both reserved and unreserved, will serve millions of passengers. The schedules for these trains have been published.

CSMT-Kolhapur (2 trips): Train 01039 is set to leave Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus at 00:30 pm on January 24, reaching Kolhapur by 11:45 am. The return train, 01040, will leave Kolhapur at 4:40 pm on January 26 and head back to CSMT, arriving at 4:05 am on January 27. It will stop at Dadar, Thane, Kalyan, Lonavala, Pune, Satara, Karad, Sangli, and Miraj. The train will feature one AC-2 tier, three AC-3 tier, eight sleeper, and four general coaches.

LTT-Nanded (4 trips): Train 01041 will depart Lokmanya Tilak Terminus on January 23-24 at 3:30 pm, arriving at Hazur Sahib Nanded by 4 am the following day. The return train, 01042, will leave Nanded on January 24-25 at 11:30 pm and return to LTT by 1:40 pm. Key stations along the route include Thane, Kalyan, Igatpuri, Nashik Road, Manmad, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, and Parbhani.

Panvel-Amravati Unreserved (2 trips): Train 01415 will depart Panvel at 7:50 pm on January 26 and reach Amravati by 12 noon on January 27. Train 01416 will leave Amravati at 12 noon on January 22 and head back to Panvel, arriving at 4 am on January 23. It will stop at Karjat, Lonavala, Pune, Manmad, Bhusaval, Akola, and Badnera, with 16 Sleeper/General coaches available.

Central Railway recommends booking tickets via the IRCTC app, website, or at station counters. Make sure to book soon to avoid waiting lists during the Republic Day holidays. These trains promise a timely and comfortable journey.
