New Traffic Rules: If you drive on the road, the Transport Department has established certain rules that are necessary to follow. These traffic rules were designed by the Bihar Transport Department. The Transport Department has clearly warned that strict action will be taken against drivers who repeatedly violate traffic rules.
According to the new rules, if a person violates traffic rules more than three times, their name will be publicly posted on the government website. Furthermore, such drivers’ driving licenses will also be confiscated. They will then be required to undergo traffic rules training for approximately one month. Therefore, it has become extremely important to follow the rules while driving.

What happens after a driver’s license is confiscated?
According to information, if a driver violates traffic rules more than three times, their license will be immediately confiscated. They will then be required to undergo traffic rules training at the district DTO office for a specified period. Upon completing the training, a certificate will be issued by the DTO office. Based on this certificate, a recommendation for reissuing a driving license will be made. Licenses will not be returned without completing the training.
Training Centers to Be Established in Every District
The Transport Department is establishing special training centers in the DTO offices of all districts. Here, information on road safety and traffic rules will be provided to drivers who repeatedly violate the rules. This decision has been taken in view of the continuously increasing road accidents in Bihar, in order to increase public awareness of traffic rules.

Increasing Traffic Violations
Incidents such as overspeeding, jumping traffic signals, reckless driving, overloading, and driving without helmets or seat belts are on the rise in the state. Furthermore, many drivers also drive in the wrong direction, which is extremely dangerous and can prove fatal. Therefore, the administration has appealed to the public to strictly follow the rules.
Over 3 million people were fined
According to Transport Department data, over 3 million people in Bihar were fined for traffic violations from January to December 13th this year. Of these, approximately 5.86 lakh fines were issued by the Transport Department and approximately 24.22 lakh fines were issued by the Traffic Police. With these figures, Bihar has reached the 10th position in the country for traffic violations.
