How to change PAN card photo online?

Visit the official website of NSDL (https://www.tin-nsdl.com/) or UTIITSL (https://www.PAN.utiitsl.com/).

Select the option of PAN Card Correction/Update on the homepage.

Select the correction form

Click on the link to access the online correction form (Form 49A for Indian citizens).

Mention here that you wish to make changes to the existing PAN card details.

Now fill your details here.

Provide details like your PAN number, name and date of birth.

Select specific fields for correction, including the photo mismatch option.

Upload a new photo.

Scan recent passport size photograph (4.5 cm x 3.5 cm) in JPEG format.

Make sure the size of the file is between 4KB and 300KB so that it can be uploaded successfully.

Upload the scanned image in the specified section.

Submit supporting documents

Upload the required documents (e.g., Aadhaar card, voter ID card) to validate your correction request. Also ensure that all the documents are clear.

While updating the photo on the PAN card, certain norms must be strictly followed so that the process runs smoothly. The prescribed standards must be followed regarding the size and quality of the new photo. The image should be clear with proper dimensions and adequate resolution to prevent technical problems during the application.

Verification of your details

Before submitting your application, confirm that all the details are filled correctly, such as personal details and new photograph. Any error or mismatch will result in the rejection of the request, which will only cause delays. Once your application is processed and approved, the PAN card with the new photograph will be delivered to the registered address. It takes an average of 15-20 working days.
