Every month, some money is cut from your salary and put into the Provident Fund (PF). This money is very important and useful for your future. But if you do not have a UAN number, there is no need to worry. You can still check your PF balance from your mobile by following some easy steps. Let’s know how.
Check PF Balance Through SMS
- If you do not have your UAN number, you can still check your PF balance. For this, your UAN must be linked with your Aadhaar, PAN, and bank account.
- Just send an SMS from your registered mobile number to 7738299899.
- Type this in the message: EPFOHO UAN HIN
(HIN is for Hindi. You can change the language code as per your choice.) - If your KYC is complete, you can get your balance even without UAN.
Check PF Balance by Missed Call
- If SMS is not working, you can try the missed call method.
- Give a missed call from your registered mobile number to 9966044425.
- The call will cut automatically. After some time, you will get an SMS with your PF balance.
Note: This will work only if your UAN is linked with Aadhaar, PAN, and bank account.
UAN Should Be Linked with Aadhaar or PAN
- To check PF balance from home by SMS or missed call, your UAN should be linked with Aadhaar or PAN.
- If you don’t know your UAN, you can find it on your salary slip.
- If you have your UAN, you can also check your full PF details and download your passbook from the EPFO website or app.
Check PF Balance Through UMANG App
You can also use the UMANG App to check your PF balance. Follow these steps:
- Download UMANG App from Play Store.
- Open the app and select EPFO Services.
- Go to Employee Centric Services.
- Click on View Passbook.
- Enter your UAN number.
- You will get an OTP on your registered mobile.
- Enter the OTP and click on the download option to view or save the PF passbook.
