7th Pay Commission Update: This year is expected to be crucial for central government employees. On the one hand, the government is set to form the 8th Pay Commission, while on the other hand, it is also going to increase the dearness allowance, i.e., DA. It is expected that the government will give the gift of a DA increase in July. This time, a decision can be made to increase the DA percentage.
If this happens, there will be a significant increase in the salaries of employees. A few days ago, the government eased the DA by only 2 per cent, which shocked the expectations of the employees. However, nothing has been officially announced about the date of the DA increase.
What percentage will DA be?
The central government can announce a DA increase for the second half of the year. This time, there is a possibility that the DA will increase by 3 per cent. If this happens, the DA will increase to 58 per cent, whereas currently, the benefit of 55 per cent DA is being received.
The last time the DA was increased by 2%, which shocked the employees. It is believed that more than one crore employees will benefit from the increase in TA.
How much will the salary increase?
If the dearness allowance for central employees is increased by 3%, a significant salary increase can be expected. If the basic pay of an employee is Rs 40,000, then after a 3% DA increase, a monthly rise of Rs 1,200 will be seen.
If we consider the annual increase, then an increase of Rs 14,400 will be observed. This amount will prove to be like a dose. Now everyone is waiting to see how much their DA increases.
When can the 8th Pay Commission be implemented?
The Modi government had approved the formation of the 8th Pay Commission in January. Since then, everyone has been waiting for its formation with great patience. It is expected that the 8th Pay Commission will be formed by the last week of June, which is being widely discussed. If this happens, then the 8th Pay Commission can be implemented by the end of next year.
