How many times can you change your name

You can change the name in your Aadhaar card a maximum of 2 times. If the name is printed incorrectly in your Aadhaar card or you want to change the surname after marriage, then you can update it only twice. For this you will have to provide documents. It requires PAN card, passport, marriage certificate, any certificate issued by a government office. Therefore, before updating the name, double-check the documents and information.

UIDAI gives you a chance to change your date of birth only once. If the date of birth is wrongly recorded in your Aadhaar, then you can correct it, but for this you will need some documents. For this, birth certificate, school mark sheet or certificate and government document in which the date of birth is recorded. Once the change is made, no correction can be made in the date of birth again.

Address

This update can be changed unlimited times. In such a situation, if you shift to a new city or live in a rented house, then it may be necessary for you to update the address. The good thing is that you can change the address as many times as you want. For this, you have to provide any one of the documents given below.

Gender Update

You can update this also only once. If the gender (male/female/transgender) is wrongly recorded in your Aadhaar card, then this too can be changed only once. For this, it is necessary to provide a valid identity document. Offline Update: To update biometric details (fingerprint, iris), mobile number and other details, you need to visit the nearest Aadhaar Seva Kendra.
