If you are a customer of HDFC Bank, then this news is very important for you. The bank has decided to temporarily shut down some digital services to improve its system. This maintenance will run from 12:30 pm to 7:30 am on Saturday, 13 September 2025. The bank says that this step has been taken to improve the efficiency of the system and give customers a great banking experience.

Which services will be affected?

During this stipulated period, many important digital services of HDFC Bank will be affected. You should know which services will work and which will not.

Netbanking and Mobile Banking

During this time, you will not be able to see your account balance, nor check the statement. Also, fund transfers like IMPS, NEFT, and RTGS will not be possible. It will also not be possible to update the profile or change the settings.

UPI services

Transferring money via UPI, making online or QR code payments, and even checking your balance will not work during this time. You will also not be able to set or change your UPI PIN.

ATM and Debit Cards

A limited transaction limit will apply depending on your card type.

Platinum and Millennia Debit Cards

Transactions up to ₹20,000.

Times Points, Rupay Platinum, Rewards, MoneyBack Debit Cards

Transactions up to ₹10,000. This limit will apply to ATM, PoS, online, and contactless transactions simultaneously. Credit card functions such as online and PoS transactions, balance enquiry, and changing PIN will continue.

Other services

Sending and receiving money via IMPS, sending money via NEFT, and RTGS will not be possible. Credits coming via NEFT/RTGS will be processed only after maintenance. All services related to e-Mandate will also remain suspended.

What can you do during this time?

The bank has said that the PayZapp wallet will work normally. If you have already loaded money into it, you can do things like making payments, scanning QR codes, or transferring funds. Apart from this, online and PoS transactions with credit cards will continue. You should complete all your important financial transactions before this deadline to avoid any inconvenience.
