Objective of the Scheme
The Mukhyamantri Paan Vikas Yojana aims to promote the cultivation of Magahi and Desi Paan in Bihar while economically empowering farmers. This initiative will improve the quality of Paan and help farmers increase their income.
Financial Assistance Provided
Under this scheme, the unit cost for Paan cultivation is ₹70,500 per 300m², and the government will provide a 50% subsidy, covering up to ₹35,250 per 300m². Farmers can cultivate Paan on a minimum area of 100m² and a maximum of 300m² to avail of the benefits.

The scheme is being implemented in select districts of Bihar, including:
- Aurangabad
- Gaya
- Nalanda
- Nawada
- Sheikhpura
- Vaishali
- Saran
Farmers from these districts can apply for financial assistance.
Who Can Apply?
Both individual farmers and members of Farmer Producer Companies (FPCs) are eligible for this scheme, ensuring that more cultivators can benefit from government support.
