To provide respect and economic independence to women, the central government launches various schemes from time to time. Many schemes like Mudra to Mahila Samriddhi Yojana are working on it. These schemes are designed keeping women in mind. All these schemes are contributing well to the financial independence of women. With the help of these schemes, the number of women entrepreneurs in the country has increased rapidly. It is expected that the number of women entrepreneurs will increase by 90 percent in the next 5 years. All these schemes of the Government of India are addressing all the challenges faced by women. Let’s take a look at these schemes.
Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana
The aim of the Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana, run by the Narendra Modi government, is to increase the number of women entrepreneurs and provide them with easy financial support. Through this, loans are given to women in small industries. In this, loans up to Rs 10 lakh are given to women without putting any collateral. The government also charges low interest on this loan. The repayment period of this loan is minimum 3 years and maximum 5 years.
Stand Up India Scheme
Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the Stand Up India Scheme in April 2016. Under this scheme, SC and ST women are promoted to become entrepreneurs through banks (Scheduled Commercial Banks). Loans ranging from Rs 10 lakh to Rs 1 crore are provided. To avail this facility, women must have at least 51 percent share in the company.

Mahila Coir Yojana
Under the Mahila Coir Yojana, efforts are being made to increase skill development among women. In this, a two-month training program is conducted for women associated with the coconut industry. During this period, women also receive a monthly allowance. They also get up to 75 percent loan for coconut processing machines. The government has also made it mandatory to purchase products made by women.

Economic Empowerment of Women Entrepreneurship
The Ministry of Skill Development has launched this scheme for women. It works to develop the skills of women in states like Assam, Rajasthan and Telangana.
Mahila Samriddhi Yojana
Under this scheme, women get loans of up to Rs 1.40 lakh. In addition, interest subsidy is available. Women from backward classes or those whose annual income is less than Rs 3 lakh are included in this scheme.

Trade Scheme
Under the TRADE (Trade-Related Entrepreneurship Assistance and Development) scheme, work is being done to empower women economically. In this, the Government of India bears 30 percent of the total project cost. In addition, 70 percent is available in the form of loans.
