IBPS Recruitment Exam – The government has taken significant steps to improve and make the recruitment process for public sector banks (PSUs) more efficient and transparent. The Union Finance Ministry has provided this important information.
The Finance Ministry stated in a statement that these reforms will be applied equally to the recruitment process of the State Bank of India, nationalised banks, and regional rural banks. The Department of Financial Services, Ministry of Finance, provided significant information, stating that currently, recruitment to these seven-category banks is conducted through IBPS. RRB examinations are typically conducted first, followed by examinations for nationalised banks and SBI. Recruitment results are also announced in this order.
What else did the Finance Ministry say?
According to the Finance Ministry’s statement, in the past few years, there has been a trend of many candidates selected in RRBs moving to nationalised banks and, from there, to SBI. This has led to a high rate of attrition in these banks. Not only this, but it also causes disruptions in work.
Taking cognisance of this situation, the DFS has reviewed the current practice of announcing results for bank recruitment processes. Following this, the Indian Banks’ Association was advised to announce the results of recruitment examinations for all categories of banks in a uniform and logical order. This will ensure clear prioritisation of candidates and make the banks’ human resource planning more effective.
SBI Recruitment Results to be Released First
Under the government’s new rules, SBI recruitment results will be released first. Then, nationalised banks and RRBs will be announced last. Results for officer-level examinations will be released first. Results for clerk-level examinations will be released later in that order.
