The objective of the scheme is not only to enable women to start their own businesses but also to make them self-reliant.

A sum of ₹10,000 was transferred as the first instalment of the Mukhyamantri Mahila Rojgar Yojana. In the second instalment, women will receive an amount of ₹20,000. To receive this, beneficiaries must ensure the proper utilisation of funds, record entries in the MIS (Management Information System), undergo financial literacy training, participate in group meetings, maintain regular savings, and prepare a business plan.

The disbursement of the second instalment is to be carried out in three phases. Following verification by the Village Organisation, an eOrganisation will be conducted at the block level. The funds will be transferred directly into the beneficiaries’ bank accounts via DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer).

How Many Women in Gayaji Have Received the First Installment?

In the Gayaji district, more than 689,000 women have so far received the first instalment of ₹10,000. Following this verification process, eligible beneficiaries will receive financial assistance totalling up to ₹210,000, disbursed in a phased manner across five stages. Furthermore, this assistance package may also include a contribution from the beneficiaries themselves.

DPM Mammat informed that, under this scheme, women are actively working towards becoming self-reliant by establishing various employment ventures—such as selling fruits and vegetables, running grocery stores, tailoring units, snack stalls, and engaging in animal husbandry and agriculture. Meanwhile, this initiative is proving to be highly significant in the direction of women’s empowerment.
