To change this mindset, the government launched a new scheme in 2024 called the “Lado Protsahan Yojana.” Under this scheme, the government provides a sum of money for the upbringing of a girl child. Now, nearly two years later, the government has increased the amount, leading to an atmosphere of joy among parents.

The ‘Lado Protsahan Yojana’, which was launched in August 2024, has been increased by Rs 50,000 . Under this scheme, the assistance for raising girls has been increased to between Rs 100,000 and Rs 1.50,000. The increased amount will be distributed this academic year, and the Education Department has issued 100% assurance. Under this scheme, the government will disburse Rs 1.5 lakh in seven installments. This entire benefit will be transferred online to the beneficiary’s account.

How to apply?

The “Laado Incentive Scheme” benefits only apply to parents who have a daughter. These benefits are available to girls born in government medical institutions and private medical institutions authorized for the Janani Suraksha Yojana. Applications are made offline, and it’s free. If anyone asks you for money or fees in the name of this scheme, refuse them.

Mother’s eligibility is mandatory. To apply for this, the daughter’s mother must be a native of Rajasthan. The first installment will be paid upon the daughter’s birth, followed by the second installment a few months later. The third installment will be paid after the daughter enters Class 1. Furthermore, the remaining installments from the previous Rajshree scheme have also been integrated into this scheme. Separate applications will not be required for the third through sixth installments; payments will be made through the Shala Darpan portal.
