This year is considered quite important financially for the beneficiaries of the central government’s Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana (PM-KISAN). The government is preparing to release three installments under this scheme in 2026, ensuring timely financial assistance to farmers.

Why is the PM-KISAN scheme special for farmers?
The objective of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana is to provide financial stability to small and marginal farmers. Under this scheme, eligible farmers receive an annual assistance of Rs. 6,000, which is sent directly to their bank accounts in three equal installments. This amount helps farmers meet their agricultural needs.

Three installments to be released in 2026
According to the government’s plan, farmers may receive the benefit of the 22nd, 23rd, and 24th installments this year. If a farmer is already enrolled in the scheme or fulfills all the conditions, there is a high probability of receiving all three installments. However, fulfilling the eligibility criteria for all installments will be necessary.

When is the 22nd installment expected?
The 22nd installment of the PM-KISAN scheme may be released at the beginning of the year. It is estimated that the government may transfer this installment to farmers’ accounts in February 2026. The official date has not yet been announced, but the government may soon release an update on the scheme’s website.

Expected time for the 23rd installment
PM-KISAN installments are usually released at intervals of four months. If the 22nd installment is released in February, then the 23rd installment is expected to be released four months later, i.e., in July 2026. This installment will also benefit only those farmers who fulfill all the necessary conditions.

When can the 24th installment be received?
Farmers will also be waiting for the 24th installment in 2026. The 24th installment is expected to be released in November 2026, four months after the 23rd installment. However, this will only be confirmed after an official announcement by the government.

How the money reaches farmers’ accounts

The amount provided under the PM Kisan Yojana is transferred directly to the farmers’ bank accounts through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT). Before each installment is released, the Prime Minister himself launches the program and addresses the farmers. This ensures that the money reaches the beneficiaries directly without any intermediaries.
