What is the Chief Minister Rajshree Yojana?

The Chief Minister Rajshree Yojana was launched by the Rajasthan government in 2016. Under this scheme, girls in the state receive a total financial assistance of Rs. 50,000. This amount is not given all at once, but in six different installments, based on the girl’s age and educational progress, and is transferred directly to her bank account. The main objectives of the scheme are to prevent female feticide, improve the sex ratio, and encourage girls’ education.

How is Assistance Provided from Birth to Education?

Under the Rajshree Yojana, the first installment of financial assistance is given at the time of the girl’s birth. The next installment is released after she completes one year of age and receives all necessary vaccinations. The third installment is given when the girl is admitted to school. The fourth installment is given upon admission to class six, the fifth upon admission to class ten, and finally, the largest amount is transferred to the girl’s account upon passing the twelfth grade. In this way, phased assistance is provided throughout her education.

Who Can Benefit from the Scheme?

This scheme is only available to permanent residents of Rajasthan. The girl must have been born after June 1, 2016, and her birth must have been registered at a registered hospital or recognized health center. Additionally, the girl’s education must be regular, and she must be studying in a school operating in the state. Upon fulfilling all these conditions, the family is considered eligible for the scheme.

Documents Required for Application

When applying for the Chief Minister Rajshree Yojana, the girl’s birth certificate, Aadhaar card or Bhamashah card, maternal and child health card, and school admission certificate are mandatory. The application process is completed easily if all the documents are complete and correct.

How to Apply

Applications for this scheme can be submitted both online and offline. Online applications are processed through the relevant state government portal. Those who are not comfortable with the online process can apply by visiting their nearest Women and Child Development office. Once the application is approved, the amount is transferred directly to the beneficiary’s bank account.
