Solar Pump Subsidy 2025:To improve irrigation facilities for farmers, the Minor Irrigation Department has introduced a scheme to install trolley-mounted solar pumps. Under this scheme, a total of 12 solar pumps will be installed, reducing farmers’ dependence on electricity or diesel. These solar pumps are environmentally friendly and offer a permanent solution for irrigation. The government is also providing subsidies under this scheme, offering financial relief to farmers. What is a Trolley-Mounted Solar Pump?
A trolley-mounted solar pump is a modern and mobile irrigation system that can be easily moved from one place to another. Price of Trolley-Mounted Solar Pump
The cost of the solar pump is Rs 1,71,716, while the cost of the trolley is Rs 78,000. In total, the project will cost Rs 2,49,716. However, the subsidy provided under this scheme will make it more affordable for farmers.
Subsidy Available Under the Scheme
The government offers a subsidy to farmers under this scheme. Up to 60% of the cost of the solar pump and up to 90% of the cost of the trolley will be subsidized. How to Apply for the Scheme?
To receive a trolley-mounted solar pump, interested farmers need to apply online. The allocation of pumps will be on a “first come, first serve” basis. Only 12 pumps will be available under this scheme. Farmers who have check dams or ponds and want to use solar pumps for ground-level irrigation can apply.
Bank Draft Requirement
Farmers need to deposit their share amount of Rs 79,186, in addition to the grant, to the Minor Irrigation Department through a bank draft.
