Under this scheme, the government offers financial support for the purchase of commercial vehicles and promotes self-sufficiency among unemployed youth (Gatidhara Scheme West Bengal).

The scheme aims to assist young individuals in making a living with their vehicles. Mainly, the scheme addresses the issue of educated, unemployed youth in low-income brackets, so that they can earn a satisfactory amount for themselves by owning vehicles (Gatidhara Scheme 2025). Thousands of youth have benefitted from this scheme in West Bengal. The youth that received the subsidies are now making a living driving a taxi, a truck, or a commercial vehicle.

One can purchase small taxis, passenger vehicles, LCV, cargo truck, mix, ambulance, or school mix vans. While making vehicle decisions, you should consider the needs of your area, in addition to your own interests.
