Bengal Weather: There is still a chance of rain. There may be rains in North Bengal as well as South Bengal. There is a possibility of rain in almost all the districts of South Bengal including Kolkata. There is a possibility of snow in North Bengal. This weather condition in the state is due to twin cyclones and latitudes. There is a possibility of rain in most districts of South Bengal till Sunday.

Chances for raining still remain

There is a chance of rain in the north until Monday. Since then, the overall weather is likely to improve. Due to the twin cyclones, the heat has also increased slightly. If it rains, the weather may be a relief. According to the Alipore Meteorological Department, the speed of rain and gusty winds in Kolkata is likely to be 30 to 40 kilometers per hour. The weather forecast is similar for Howrah, Hooghly, East Midnapore, West Midnapore, East Burdwan and Murshidabad.

Wind speed can be more in some districts

However, wind speed may be higher in North 24 Parganas, South 24 Parganas and Nadia. The possible amount of rain may remain more or less the same. Rain may be light to moderate. There is no possibility of rain in North Bengal as well as some districts of South 24 Parganas, East Midnapore and West Midnapore on Monday. There may be snowfall in some areas of Darjeeling and Kalimpong.

Weather can improve from Monday

Skies are expected to start clearing fairly over most parts of South Bengal from Sunday onwards. The weather is likely to improve in most districts of North Bengal after Monday. The Alipore Meteorological Office has predicted rain in most districts of the state for the past few days.

An advance warning was issued. The possibility of untimely rains was a cause for concern for potato farmers. If the weather is good, the fears of the farmers will be greatly reduced.
