This morning, oil companies announced the new price of LPG cylinders (LPG Cylinder Price Hike). Again, the rules of toll tax FASTag are also changing (FASTag Rule Change). Along with this, paan-masala and cigarettes are also getting a push.
LPG cylinder prices increased further
Oil companies update the prices of LPG cylinders on the first day of every month. On Budget Day, the price of commercial gas cylinders was increased by about Rs 50. With this, the price of 19 kg LPG cylinders has been increased for two consecutive months. According to the new rate in Kolkata, the price of commercial gas cylinders has been kept at Rs 1844.50.

Air travel will be cheaper
With the change in the price of LPG cylinders, oil companies have made a second change in the price of aviation fuel (ATF). The price of aviation fuel has been reduced from February 1. The special thing is that the change in the price of aviation turbine fuel can sometimes reduce the cost of travel.
Earlier last month, the price of ATF was reduced on January 1. The price in Delhi was reduced by about 7%. On the first day of February, the price of ATF in Kolkata also came down from Rs 95,378.02 to Rs 94,445.62.
Additional tax on betel nut and cigarettes
From February 1, tobacco products and betel nut are being taxed at a higher rate in the country. The government has announced a new excise duty and cess in place of the GST compensation cess. Along with the GST rate, new taxes will be imposed on tobacco and betel nut.
Changes have also been made to the FASTag rules
There is a new update for FASTag users from February 1. However, this is good news. NHAI has stopped the KYC verification process while issuing FASTag for cars, jeeps and vans. Which is good news for car users.
