Rekha Gupta, Delhi ‘s government is going to give a big gift to the women of the city. The Delhi government’s Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) can launch the ‘Saheli Pink Smart Card’ for women on the occasion of Bhaidooj. This Pink Smart Card is being introduced in place of the existing Pink Ticket. With the Pink Smart Card, women will not need to buy Pink Ticket in Delhi’s government buses. Let us tell you that women do not need to buy tickets to travel in DTC and cluster buses in Delhi. Women get Pink Ticket in buses, which is completely free.

DTC officials say that, after receiving approval from Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, the Pink Smart Card could be launched after Diwali, on the occasion of Bhai Dooj. The official stated that considerable preparations have been made for the scheme, and card reader machines have been installed in many buses.

According to reports, these Pink Smart Cards will be issued to women as well as transgender individuals for free travel on Delhi buses. It is reported that the Pink Smart Card will contain the passenger’s name and photo, along with other important details.

Who can use Pink Smart Card?

This Pink Smart Card will be valid only for women of Delhi. Currently, women of all states and cities are getting the facility of free travel in DTC buses. After the launch of the Pink Smart Card, online registration will have to be done on the DTC website and it will be issued only after KYC by the bank. According to DTC officials, after receiving the card, it will be activated through DTC’s automated fare collection system. After which it can be used in the bus. Women passengers will have to give it to the conductor during the journey and tap it in the machine, so that the travel details can be recorded.
