Free Ration– Free ration for the month of September has started being distributed in UP from today. This month, free ration distribution will be done from 10 to 25 September (Free ration September Distribution Date). This month, Antyodaya card holders will also get three kilograms of sugar at subsidized rates. Ration will be distributed from 8 am to 6 pm.

However, those who have not done KYC may face a hindrance in getting free ration. These people may have to bear the brunt of negligence. There are about 3.61 crore ration cards in the state and 14.65 crore people are taking advantage of the facility of free ration. According to the information, free ration will be distributed at ration shops in the entire state between September 10 and September 25. Orders have been issued regarding this.

Lucknow DSO Vijay Pratap Singh said that two kg wheat and three kg fortified rice (total 5 kg) per unit will be distributed free of cost to eligible household card holders and 14 kg wheat and 21 kg fortified rice (total 35 kg) will be distributed free of cost to Antyodaya card holders. This month, Antyodaya card holders will also get three kg sugar for the months of July, August and September. For this, Antyodaya card holders will have to pay Rs 54 at the rate of Rs 18 per kg.

The government in Uttar Pradesh is continuously running a campaign for eKYC. Despite this campaign, there are still thousands of ration card holders who have not done KYC. People whose ration cards have not been e-KYCed may face problems in getting ration. However, most of the ration cards in Uttar Pradesh have been verified. But some people have not yet completed this process.
