This proposal to give free electricity up to 100 units to the people of Bihar was first sent to the Finance Department, which has given its green signal. Under this scheme, now any consumer who consumes up to 100 units of electricity will not have to pay any kind of bill. This is a tremendous relief for consumers in both rural and urban areas.
Those who use more electricity than this will have to pay a per-unit fee. This step will directly benefit the monthly budget of lakhs of families by giving relief from electricity bills.
The outline of the scheme is still incomplete
The Finance Department has approved this proposal, but the approval of the Cabinet is still pending. So far, its outline has not been prepared as to how consumers will get its benefit. First of all, approval has been taken from the Finance Department because the entire cost of this will have to be borne by the state government.
Currently, consumers in the state have to pay ₹ 7.57 per unit for up to 50 units and ₹ 7.96 per unit for more than that. With this scheme, these rates will become zero for up to 100 units, which will drastically reduce the cost of electricity.

Historic increase in pension

Reservations for women in government jobs

On Tuesday itself, the Chief Minister announced that 35% reservation will be given to women in every category of government jobs.
