New Delhi: An instalment of ₹2,000 may be transferred to farmers’ accounts before Diwali, and it is expected to benefit millions of farmers. It is expected that the government may release the instalment by October 16, 2025, which would be good news. The government is considering sending it as a Diwali gift.

These farmers have received the 21st installment

The 21st instalment of the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana has been distributed to farmers in disaster-affected areas. Farmers in Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, and Uttarakhand have received the ₹2,000 in instalments. All 2.7 million eligible farmers in these three states have received the instalment monsoon season. Floods ravaged these states, causing significant losses for farmers.

To maintain transparency in this scheme, the central government has set certain requirements that are important to know. Farmers will first need to complete e-KYC (e-Key Information Checking) and land verification. Mobile numbers can be linked to bank accounts, which will be hassle-free. Under the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, the government transfers three instalments of ₹2,000 each year. Each instalment amounts to ₹6,000. Each is installed every four months.

For information, the government has already sent 20 instalments,000. The 20th instalment was sent on August 2, 2025. Now this money can be released in the third week of October.
